I had my 9 month pictures taken yesterday. These aren't the actual photography pictures, but here are a few pictures of me in my cute dress...that Aunt Jamie found for me at a garage sale! (Can you tell we love garage sales around here?) The bow is not the one I wore in the actual picture. Aunt Jamie made a special bow for me that matched my dress. But you get the idea.... I did SO well at the photography studio. I smiled and laughed and made it hard for Mommy to pick out of 75 proofs!

EARLY BIRD
Well, I finally seem pretty much back to normal (with an outrageous appetite!). Though, I have to admit that I got used to people holding me and paying me a lot of attention, so I am having to learn again how to sometimes be set down to play without Mommy right there beside me. I am still continuing to get more and more teeth by the minute, it seems. Therefore, guess what I am not doing....yep... sleeping well at night. I have been sleeping through the night since I was 3 months old, but the past week I have started waking up anywhere from 4:30 to 5:30. (Mommy HATES that time of morning!) In addition, the last few nights I have also started waking up every few hours. Most of the time I can put myself back to sleep, though it still wakes Mommy and Daddy every few hours as well, which they are not too thrilled about. One night at 1:30, Mommy and Daddy heard me in my bed just having a good old conversation with myself! :) Mommy makes me still stay in my bed, though, until 7:00, which is when I used to get up. Sometimes I just lay and talk to myself and roll around, but other times I cry because I want to eat breakfast since I'm awake. Hopefully I will got back to my regular routine soon. A good thing, however, is that I am taking great naps again! I guess you can't have it all, Mommy! :)

GRANDMA JOY....LOOK!
Today to church I wore the dress you got for me at a garage sale for 25 cents ! (Yes, 25 cents!) I had to wear it at least once to church even though the dress itself is pretty short on me and the bloomers are huge (though you can't tell in this picture because I'm sitting down). Goes to show how "tall" I am and that I lost quite a bit of weight being sick. Anyway, I got lots of compliments on it at church today, so thanks Grandma!

GARAGE SALES ROCK!
Mommy and Grandma have been hitting the garage sales lately, and look at what they found me! I have been having such a blast playing with my new toys. It was about time, too, because I was getting bored with my "baby" toys. :)
Grandma found me this toy. I love it because I can hold onto it and stand by myself. (Although Mommy has to be close by because I still don't understand that I can't just let go when I'm done.)

This riding car has quickly become my new favorite toy! I can't quite make it go yet by myself, but I LOVE it when Mommy pushes me around on it. Plus, I can sit up on it like a big girl all by myself and play with all its gadgets.

Since I love music so much, I have enjoyed this new toy as well. Mommy is trying to teach me that you don't pound as hard as you can on piano keys! You know, for future reference! :)
She also keeps trying to tell me that pianos are not supposed to be played with your toes....but it's so much more fun that way!

MAD FACE....JUST KIDDING!
Lately my new thing is to scrunch up my eyebrows at Mommy and make a mad face......
....and then suddenly burst out giggling. Kinda like, "Just Kidding!"
P.S. I am still pretty fussy lately and I throw up at random times every few days....oh, and I have a bad diaper rash and a constant runny nose. But then again, Mommy says what do you expect when she can see 4 teeth coming in all at once? She's chalking all this up lately to that.

WHAT A MOTHER'S DAY
Well, it wasn't quite the first Mother's Day Mommy had in mind. I woke up crying at 6 a.m. and wouldn't go back to sleep. Then, I proceeded to scream and cry ALL day. Nothing Mommy or Daddy did would pacify me. They decided I wouldn't do well at church but we did try to go to Aunt Jamie and Unlce Dusty's house to celebrate Mother's Day with them and Grandma Faith and Grandpa Bob, but that didn't last long. I was a mess.
It seems I just start to get better and then.... (sigh) I did throw up again all over Uncle Brad on Saturday night. And now today I am still extremely fussy and won't sleep again. Mommy is tired, frustrated, and grumpy, if I do say so myself. But then again, we all are.
Poor Grandma Joy and Grandpa Doug got sick, too, on Mother's Day. I don't know if I gave it to them or if they picked it up elsewhere. But Mommy really thinks mine isn't the flu but due to other things now. She just doesn't know what. She sure wishes I could talk to tell her what is wrong. She may call the doctor this afternoon ..... again..... just because she can't get me to stop crying and fussing. (Which really isn't like me at all.)
More updates later....

JUST CAN'T GET RID OF IT
I was doing so well...
Until this morning.
I hadn't thrown up in 48 hours, and I was slowly getting back to normal (eating rice cereal, bananas, applesauce just fine and SLOWLY starting formula again).
Then, I threw up all over again this morning.
It's been a week now.....
(sigh)

A FEW RANDOM PICTURES
Even though I still wasn't feeling 100%, Mommy and Grandma and I decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. This is my first wagon ride, and I decided I love wagon rides just as much as stroller rides!

And I just HAD to show off this darling dress that I got to wear to Grandma's church a couple Sundays ago. I got it as a baby gift, and Mommy has just been dying for it to be warm enough for me to wear it.

Aunt Cali needed my help with an art project she was doing. I got to put paint all over my hands and feet and make hand/feet prints. Although I wasn't too sure about it at first, I got the hang of it. It was fun being messy! :)

I LOVE DOGGIES
There are two big doggies that live behind us, and I hear them barking all the time. I love to "stand" at the window and try to see them in the yard. Whenever I hear them barking, no matter where I am in the house, I look towards the window. Or when Mommy says the word "doggie" I turn towards the window. Mommy taught me the sign for "doggie" (patting the side of my leg with my hand), and now I will do that sign when I hear them barking or see them out the window. Mommy wants to know if that counts as my first word, even if I sign it instead of speak it. Hmmm......

AN UPDATE ON THE FLU BUG
Okay, well, Mommy and Daddy are both feeling 100% better. Me? Nope. Not so much. I go in 20-24 stretches of no vomiting, and Mommy thinks, "Great!" Then, suddenly, I throw up all over again. (sigh). So far, I have had about 6 ounces of formula since Friday night, most of which has come back up. Right now, I am living on Pedialyte, and small amounts of applesauce, rice cereal, and puffs. On top of all this, I have 3 teeth coming in at once....yes 3! So, Mommy wonders if some of my "infirmities" are related more to my teeth than the flu now???? I have just not been my talkative, happy self lately. I've been pretty melancholy. Mommy says I look "frail" and "pale." (Okay, being in the 96% for weight, I'm definitely not frail, but Mommy can definitely tell I've lost weight.... about 1 lb so far according to the doctor's scale.) If you think of me here in the next few days, say a little prayer for me.... please?
Here are a couple pictures Daddy took of me at the hospital on Sunday.....

PASS IT ON
Well, there are just some things that are not nice to share with others.....the flu being one of them. Mommy and I ended up passing the flu bug on to poor Daddy after he did a great job of taking care of us. Now we have three sick ones in the house. Who's taking care of who? Good question! I actually ended up in the ER once again this morning....why can't we ever get sick during a week day for goodness sakes? I wasn't keeping anything down again and was refusing liquids, and I had become very lethargic this morning to the point that Mommy could hardly wake me up. Well, since Mommy still was sick, Daddy had to take me by himself. It was at the ER that he started feeling sick. A nurse had to stay with me for a bit while Daddy went to the restroom. Like I said, Poor Daddy! Anyway, they once again gave me tylenol and pedialyte and sent me home. Sound familiar? Now being at home again, I am still refusing liquids and just want to sleep all the time. (sigh) Time to go....we're all going to lay down for a nap! Let's just hope I decide to eat/drink something when I wake up or it could be a LONG night ahead....

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE.....REALLY BAD
The Good: The last four days or so, I have been taking really good naps again. No fussing, sleeping about 1.5 hours. Yea for me! (Mommy did try something new....she put a blanket up over my window so it is really dark in my room. Don't know if that is a coincidence or if it really does help.)
The Bad: Mommy can see three (maybe four?) teeth trying to come in. Yuk!
The Really Bad: Mommy and I both got the flu yesterday. Mommy started feeling yucky around noon. Luckily I was being a good girl and kept myself pretty entertained on the floor with my toys while she laid on the couch. I wasn't showing any signs, though, of being sick until I woke up suddenly at 9:30 p.m. throwing up all over my bed. That just about did Mommy's queasy stomach in. She kept feeling worse and worse throughout the night as I kept throwing up and eventually just kept dry heaving until I finally fell asleep in Daddy's arms around 2 a.m. Mommy started throwing up around 1 a.m. and had a 101 fever. When I woke up this morning, though, I seemed pretty happy and had no fever. Daddy would only let me have Pedialyte, though, and I didn't like that at first. I wanted my food! But I got used to it. Mommy has been sleeping all day, so Daddy and I have had lots of play time together. Just this afternoon I started having diarrhea, a bad diaper rash, and a low grade fever...but am still smiling and playing. Poor Daddy. He is taking care of two sick ladies on about 3 hours of sleep. He deserves an award!

MY FRIEND LYDIA
My friend Lydia who I went for a walk with last week came over to my house for a playdate today. We had a fun time and plan to do it more often!

Mommy says I need to work on my sharing skills. We really did pretty well sharing toys with each other, but every once in awhile, one of us would grab at what the other had....
We liked working together to make sure those pesky Disney creatures were shut away tight. Neither one of us could stand to have the lids pop open. If one of the Mommies opened a lid, one of us was sure to close it lickety split! :)

GO CARDS!
Grandma found this cute Cardinal outfit at a garage sale last week, so since the Cards were playing the Cubs today, I just had to wear it to cheer the Cards to a victory.....No such luck, though. They got creamed! :(

In other news, I got to have a sleepover at Grandma Joy's house last night. Then we went to church with Grandma and Grandpa today. I slept the best I have in a LONG time. My crib at Grandma's is in her basement, so I had no idea it was morning! Mommy finally woke me up for church, and she found me exactly how she had put me in the crib the night before. That NEVER happens! Then, Uncle Brad and Aunt Cali happened to have nursery duty during Sunday School, and Uncle Brad pushed me around in a little stroller and what do you know, I fell right asleep in there! He just wheeled me into a little crib room and I slept there until Mommy and Daddy came to get me. THEN, we went back to Grandma's house for lunch, and for the first time in a LONG time, when it was time for my nap, I just laid right down in Grandma's crib and fell right asleep without crying. And I slept for two hours! I did have a little trouble going to sleep tonight then, but boy did I feel great after so much rest! Yea me!

A NIGHT ON THE TOWN
Tonight was such a gorgeous warm night out! My friend, Lydia W. called and asked if I wanted to "play." So kinda spur of the moment, we met up with her family at Didley's for dinner and then we took a stroller ride around the town square. Lydia and I had a fun time giggling at each other in our matching strollers (though different colors) while we walked. Here are some pictures from our fun night out on the town.

HAPPY 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY!
I turned 9 months old today....on a nice warm 80 degree day! Mommy had these cute overalls in my closet that she got at a garage sale last summer, and she's been dying to have me wear them before they get too small. (They are size 6-9 months.) So today she finally decided it was warm enough to get them out. I loved playing with the buckles and rubbing the soft bear.
Can you tell in this picture that I was sporting the "Pebbles" look with my bow? My hair is getting so long on top (and a bit curly, I might add), that Mommy doesn't always know what to do with it. So today, she tried the Pebbles look. Kinda goofy, but cute.
And Mommy FINALLY got a picture of me playing "So Big." This has quickly become one of my new favorite games.....especially when Daddy plays it with me. I try to slap my hands down on my legs before he does. It's kinda like a race! :)
