Morgan loves to sing. Always has. Her new favorite thing to do is give "concerts" using her new "echo microphone" that I snagged at Dollar Tree. And for some reason, she always has to wear her "pretty necklace" while singing. After each song, she bends over and giggles hysterically as if she is embarrassed or something. It's too funny. And often times if I am in the room, she'll get done and say, "Mommy, you have to clap." Morgan has an independent playtime each morning in her room for about 30 minutes. I always put on a CD for her while she's playing. I also turn on her monitor so that I can hear what she is doing if I am in the next room. This morning I started laughing when I heard her "singing" along with the song on the CD - "If You're Happy and You Know It." I snuck to the door with my video camera and was able to capture her in action....
This week for Tot School our theme has been rainbows so we have been doing a lot with colors. Mommy taught me a song she made up about the colors of the rainbow which has quickly become a favorite of mine.
Mommy has been doing these color word chants with me almost since I was born. We've been doing these a lot this week, too.
I LOVE to sing. Mommy and I sing a lot during our lunchtime. (That is why I am a bit distracted at a few parts in the video by picking up tiny bits of my "bidtit"....biscuit). My favorite song at the moment is "Daybit" (Only a Boy Named David). I LOVE that song! Also, Mommy read on my friend Emma's blog that she loved LeapFrog's Letter Factory DVD and learned her sounds from watching it. Since Mommy has been working on letter sounds with me, she checked it out from the library and I've been watching it (kinda) the last few days. I don't seem much interested in it like I am my Praise Baby videos and Mommy didn't think I was really getting anything out of it. But she decided to start singing the main song from it yesterday and sure enough, I joined right in with the sounds. So even though I was doing other things and not really paying all that much attention to the TV pictures, I was sure enough listening to the music as I played! Thanks Emma for the great suggestion!
