JUST SOME CUTE PICTURES

Playing in soapy water.....Makes her so happy!
Although, she sometimes tries to "eat" the bubbles.  :)

Kelsey also loves this ball popper toy!
But gets frustrated when it stops and she can't reach the balls!

And I love it that I don't dread mopping the floor anymore, now that I got my new Norwex mop.  And a bonus: Morgan loves it, too!  Today after helping me mop, she said, "Mommy, thanks for letting me help you!"  Anytime, dear....anytime!  :)

PLAYING PICNIC

Upon hearing that we were going to have a picnic at the park today, Morgan wanted to make a pretend picnic for her and Kelsey on the kitchen floor. I loved seeing them "play" together!

Oh how she just LOVES her baby sister!

TIDBITS FROM OUR DAY

My friend, Heather, called us this morning and asked us to go with them to Monkey Joes, an indoor inflatable play area. Morgan had a blast, and even Kelsey enjoyed all the activity. She is so much easier to take places these days now that she can sit in a stroller, highchair, etc. She loves being part of the action. I had to wake her up from her morning nap to go, but she did great. We even went out for lunch afterwards. What a fun morning!
This is what we had for dinner. We started our 2 week St. Patrick's Day tot school, so we had rainbow spaghetti with a blue jello "cloud" and a garlic bread "pot of gold." She ate every last bit!
While I cooked dinner, I sat Kelsey on the floor with my metal measuring cups. She had a lot of fun making noise! :)
And of course, Big Sister Morgan had to join in on the fun!

MORGAN'S "HOUSE"

Morgan and I made a fort yesterday (that she kept calling her "house") using our card table and an extra bed sheet. She had so much fun! She even had to make a smaller one next to it for her teddy bear. :) We took pretend naps in there, we read lots of books, and we had "dinner." She even declared we had an upstairs when she climbed up onto the couch under the sheet.

She wanted her baby sister to come inside her "house" and play with her. I love this picture!

PLAYING TOGETHER

This is what I love about having two kids: watching them play and interact together. After lunch Morgan asked if she and Kelsey could go for a "ride" in her "boat." So cute!

"Reading" books together.

Aahh. So sweet.

ALL ABOARD!

The other day, Morgan lined up chairs in the kitchen (including Kelsey's bouncy seat and her doll's highchair). Then she instructed Kelsey and I to get on the train. She even yelled, "All Aboard!" We went all over the countryside and "saw" lots of interesting things! :) I love her imagination and creativity these days!

CREATING HER OWN PLAY

The other day Kelsey was a bit more fussy than usual, and I was paying more attention to keeping her happy than usual. Therefore, some of our normal routine just didn't happen. But Morgan was okay with that. She ended up creating a lot of her own play activities by herself. So fun to watch.

She took an empty paper towel tube and set up this "slide" for her shape pieces from a game we had played earlier. So creative!

She asked me to get out her magnetic pom poms to play with, and she spent a long time arranging them on her cookie sheet.

She spent close to 30 minutes coloring all her numbers and letters on her Aquadoodle mat and then proceeding to color the WHOLE mat blue!

Later that evening, she went and got out the cotton balls, a coffee filter, and her gluestick. She took them to the table and sat down to create her "puffy cloud." Again, all on her own!

I love that she is at that age that she CAN entertain herself when she needs to. I love to see what she comes up with sometimes.

A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT

I have been working on a lot of fine motor / hand-eye coordination skills with Morgan lately. She hates if I try to have her use tweezers, tongs, clothespins, etc. I have also tried lacing beads before, but with little success (at least in using them to lace). Today, however, I had these Melissa and Doug Lacing Beads (that I found at a garage sale last week) out in her Tot Trays for her to play with, and she finally was able to figure out how to do it...without my help! She was so excited, and so was I! She did this for quite awhile, and loved that she could make her own necklace.

WHEE!

Mommy had this cookie sheet in our schoolroom today for an activity. But this is how I decided to use it instead..... I kept saying, "Ride!" So Mommy pushed and pulled me around the room for a bit on my cookie sheet sled. WHEE! This was more fun than Mommy's planned activity.....Sorry, Mommy!

GOING ON AN EGG HUNT

In keeping with our Easter theme, we did activities with ovals (eggs) today. Mommy cut out some big ovals to look like eggs, and hid them around the living room. I had a blast looking for them and putting them in my basket. Mommy said it was good practice for the real Easter egg hunt we are going to on Saturday.

I did get a bit distracted at times......

FUN WITH LAUNDRY BASKETS....AGAIN!

I had more fun again today playing with Mommy's laundry basket. Mommy showed me how to sit on the couch and throw my balls and beanbags into the basket. That was fun!

Then, I had just as much fun taking them out and putting them back on the couch to do again.
When I got tired of doing that, I had fun just getting in and out of the basket and playing in it.

PLAY DOUGH!

Mommy ordered me this little Melissa & Doug play dough set off of Amazon and we just got it in the mail. I have been having so much fun with it! My favorite things to do with it are squish it between my fingers and cutting out shapes with my "cookie cutters."
