DOING LAPS

Hey, Daddy.....How many laps would I have to do to reach a mile? :)

FIRST STEPS

Grandma and Grandpa stopped by on their way home from vacation. Before they left for their vacation, Grandma had said, "I bet she will be walking by the time we get back." (I was close....taking a few steps here and there to Mommy. But no real walking by myself. ) While they were here visiting, I suddenly just started walking! Grandma and Grandpa were excited that they got to experience my first steps with me. :)

LAPS AROUND THE HOUSE

I just figured out how to steer and turn my car to make it go where I want it to go, so I am having so much fun doing laps around the living room and kitchen taking my baby for a ride. I could do this for hours if Mommy let me. (I have also learned how to crawl up steps and go back down backwards. I have lots of fun doing this now, too, whenever Mommy lets me. I am only allowed to do it when Mommy is with me, though.)

WHAT A BIG GIRL!

I have been a bit behind my peers when it comes to rolling over, crawling, pulling up, cruising, etc. But it seems that one day I just suddenly figure out how to do something new, and then I very quickly become a "pro" at it. Just yesterday I figured out the "cruising" thing, and suddenly today Mommy was in the kitchen and came back to find me doing this like an old pro!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

I really LOVE practicing my walking lately. I could walk around the house all day if Mommy and Daddy's backs could take it! :) While I was at Emma's house, I even figured out for the first time how to push the walker toy without letting it just go way out in front of me.

Daddy got tuckered out from all the walking. :) So we are taking a rest together. :)
