JUST THE THREE OF US

We enjoyed our little family of three Christmas together this morning since we will be gone tonight (Christmas Eve) and all day tomorrow (Christmas) with extended family. Actually, it started with OUR Christmas Eve last night going to the Festival of Lights and then out to eat. Morgan LOVED the lights, and wanted us to go back for more. Then, we enjoyed once again our time this morning, just the three of us.

We stayed in our jammies all morning again, and it started with Morgan watching a video....

...while Daddy made a special breakfast. :)

Then, she could hardly wait to unwrap all those presents that have been teasing her under the tree all week. (Which, thanks to Swagbucks and all my free Amazon gift codes, were all basically free!)

A Melissa and Doug Apple Pie set.

A new big girl straw cup with her name on it. (This one I have actually had for like 2 years waiting until she was old enough.)

A mix and match creature puzzle.

A new Dora movie! (She also got a new Veggie Tales movie, too, but that didn't excite her as much as her Dora one!)

Some more necklaces.

A tray of play cookies for her oven.

"Pat the Bunny" book. I know this is a bit too young for her, but I got it free off of a deal site, and she loved the other "Paul and Judy" book like this that she has, and I've always wanted this one for her since this is the one I remember having as a kid. Even though it is a bit young for her, she still loved reading it.

Melissa and Doug magnetic pattern block set.

And her bathtime baby....the biggest hit of the day!

I haven't yet told her that she can actually give the baby a real bath with real water. This baby will be the cleanest baby around once she hears that!

And Jared is always so good at picking out the perfect ornaments for us each year. Look at the ones he got this year.

for me

And for Morgan...Her all time favorite book and song is "The Wheels on the Bus." In fact, we are kinda tired of the book she wants us to sing to her every night. So, anyway, this was the perfect ornament for her this year. When she opened it up, she immediately said, "Look! The wheels on the bus!" Good job, Daddy!
