DOCTOR APPOINTMENT

Morgan had an appointment with an allergist yesterday. We were there for 3 hours and they did a prick test on her back. But we were really happy with the doctor and Morgan did great for being there so long. (Some stats: She weighs 26 pounds and is 35 inches tall!) Anyway, the prick test showed NO MILK ALLERGY!!!!!!!!!!!! (The last blood test she had in September still showed milk as an allergy.) YEA! But we are working on seasonal allergies right now and she got more blood work done today for celiac (very slim chance, but they wanted to rule it out for sure) and something about white blood count (NOT fun, by the way...they had to stick her twice), so they want us to wait three more months and hold off until she is two to start thinking about introducing milk. But that's okay. It seems like we are headed in the right direction! Now, let's hope the blood tests she had today don't show anything else.....

Hi Lana, Have been following a blog of a couple that have recently adopted twins (baby girls). One is having difficulty with formula. Have read back on your posts for Morgan and know you've had to be careful with her diet. Wondering if you'd have any suggestions for them. jonandamyg dot blogspot dot com
Thanks, Teresa C.

Lana,
Next time you take her in, ask your doctor to order the ImmunoCAP test (instead of skin prick) It is much less painful for the child and gets better results.
Alexis just had it done yesterda - as well as the Celiac test... We are anxious for our results.
Good luck!!!
