HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FIRECRACKER! :)

Kelsey, who we lovingly refer to as "Firecracker" (due to her red hair and spunky spirit!) turned two on Friday.  We enjoyed celebrating with an ice cream party on Saturday evening!

It was nice to be able to host the party in our "new" basement this time!

The Party Table

We had ice cream cone cupcakes instead of cake and an ice cream "bar."  (And the reason Jared's picture is on the table, too, is because we celebrated his birthday at the same time since it's so close to Kelsey's.)

The Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes.  I was relieved that they turned out okay, because I really didn't have a "Plan B."  :)

A dollar store ice cream sundae dish and a bath "pouf" made for a great centerpiece!

Sporting their ice cream attire for the party.

Taking it all in!

My sweet 2 year old!

Singing Happy Birthday before she blew out the candle on her cupcake cone.

YUMMY!

Sugar overload? :)

Opening her gifts...with Morgan's help of course. :)

On the day of her actual birthday, we had to do some celebrating too!

Waking up to balloons all over her bedroom.

She got to wear her cute birthday cupcake outfit.

Silly girl!

Since she wasn't going to get cake until the next night, Daddy made her a special M&M pan"cake" breakfast complete with frosting and a candle on top.

So, we sang Happy Birthday to her and let her blow out a candle at breakfast.

Then, she got a special surprise of getting to go with just Mommy to the Tot Swim at the pool.

It was her first time there this summer, and she was so happy!

What a cutie!

And she's off!

No fear of the water at all!

When she woke up from her nap that day, she followed a streamer path from her room on the 2nd floor all the way to the basement to find her gift!

We love you so much, Kelsey Faith! I can't believe you are two already!  You know all your capital letters by sight and some you can even name their sounds, you know all your colors, you know how to count to 10, you know a few shapes, and you can actually talk in short sentences / phrases.   You try so hard to keep up with your big sis, and do a pretty good job of it!  :)  Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up in the ER first in the not too distant future because of how adventurous you are and due to the fact that you have no fear and like to push the limits on what you can do. LOL!  That's why we call you, Firecracker!  :) But we love you dearly and are so blessed to have you as our daughter. :)
